And all I wanted to do was to avoid spelling his surnameAlex McFarlane wrote:And to further confuse things I am Alex H McFarlane.
BTW I wonder if you could cast your eye on my 10.2 suggestion in chess questions. I would appreciate your opinion.

I intend to but only when I'm fully awake and don't have some games to enter. Cripes! I'm beginning to sound more like the other Alex H. Next thing I'll be carrying a caterpiller under my nose.

On the bright side, at least this Alex H knows how to spell "caterpillar".Alex McFarlane wrote:I intend to but only when I'm fully awake and don't have some games to enter. Cripes! I'm beginning to sound more like the other Alex H. Next thing I'll be carrying a caterpiller under my nose.

If he can spell his surname properly I'm not surprised he's OK at spelling "caterpillar".

You could try copy and paste.Nick Thomas wrote: And all I wanted to do was to avoid spelling his surname
That seems to be based on the idea that because a lot of monoglot native English speakers might have trouble then he also would, which is less likely since he has grown up with it. He can possibly spell it in more than one alphabet too...Mike Truran wrote:If he can spell his surname properly I'm not surprised he's OK at spelling "caterpillar".
