Nice ideas there. White luckily equalised in the last line thank goodness.

I wouldn't say refuted though , as the only reason you would use such a line as White is as a surprise weapon.

There are lots of quirky areas in the Open Game which haven't been explored, for instance 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 d6 3 d4 Qf6!?, used by Andrew Smith I think on occasion.

Yes, that does seem interesting.
I think after watching your other video I will definetly try out the retreat variation of the Alekhine in a rapidplay tournament :)
