One theory relating to Topalov's accusations against Kramnik was that he was getting revenge after being accused previously.
Oh that's very plausible, but not really an excuse.

Doing PIPI in your pampers

Tigran L Petrosian responds to Wesley So allegations tonight BREAKING...
Nakamura took a look at the games and seems to conclude that there was nothing strange about Petrosian beating So but he finds himself very bothered about Petrosian beating Dominguez Perez. Check it out.

You're basically accusing him of cheating based on nothing, aren't you?
If I ever go to court I will be sure to call on your services a juror, even if I had committed a crime in plain view with multiple witnesses you still wouldn't accept that as evidence enough.
Any opinions expressed will not be held to account.

"In plain view with multiple witnesses"
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

There might now be a proper investigation of chess.com procedures; I doubt the Armenians will leave it there

Was there audio and video monitoring?

I presume one of them will be represented by Trump and the other Biden?

There's a translation of what the disqualified Armenian team have said at
https://www.chesspub.com/cgi-bin/chess/ ... 1598339141

It appears there was video surveillance of sorts as Petrosian is accused of looking down during the game. He claims it was because he was using a touchpad rather than a mouse.

It appears chess.com continue their policy of asking for admissions of guilt in exchange for no publicity
We have received a letter from chess.com yesterday that offered us two choices: either admit something that didn’t happen and continue our cooperation with chess.com as one of the best teams on the site, or begin discussions around the issue
If chess.com was subject to ultimate appeals to CAS (Committee of Arbitration in Sport), is it likely that their evidence free bans would be tolerated? In OTB chess, bans and title removal by FIDE would likely be put through the FIDE Ethics Commission whose decisions could be challenged at CAS.

It bothers me that realtime coverage and analysis are available as I cannot see what prevents a player watching coverage of their own game other than the server's engine matching should they use the suggestions and if they make the error of using the same computer or internet connection, so IT detection can be employed.

Thought there was a coincidence here.

Gaioz Nigalidze was caught on the toilet using a mobile after Tigran Petrosian became suspicious.

I'm feeling flippant this morning:

Q: 'How are you feeling, Tigran?'
A: 'So so, but So"s a so-and-so!'

Pretty impressed with Naka reinventing himself as an anti-cheating expert, something of a change of pace there

I feel he may be close to the edge of what you can get away with, particularly in the US. He must be worth suing by now.
