British Rapidplay 2019

Six of the 11 rounds of this two day event have been completed. Laurence Webb leads with 5/6. Sadly this event has seen better times further evidenced by the news (which Nigel Davies posted on FB) that the top prize of £300 has been cut to £200 in all sections due to lack of entries. Perhaps the event is in need of a revamp along the lines of the British Blitz?

Good idea, it should be a prestigious event, instead "British" is just used as a marketing ploy.
