Fritz compatibility with windows 7 64 bit

Post by Michele Clack » Mon Feb 01, 2010 6:14 pm

My fritz 9 won't load on my new windows 7 64 bit computer, which I rather suspected. I can't find anything on it on the chessbase website at all. It doesn't even say if the new version of Fritz, 12 I think, is compatible as far as I could see.

1)If I set up a Virtual PC running XP would Fritz 9 work on this, I have 4GB memory? Anyone tried this?

2)If no to 1) above has anyone bought the new version of Fritz and managed to run it on a 64 bit Windows 7 Machine?

It should do. I run Fritz 6 in a similar fashion.

Certainly worth a try, it can't do any harm (other than a quick reboot if it crashes).
