After a first foray into event organising last year Glossop Chess Club is doing it all again ! The Weekend features a five round tournament with Open and U1700 sections on Sat/Sun 16/17 May, as well as other events over the weekend - details to follow.

Please note that initially entries are not being accepted from juniors due to insufficient space to accommodate parents.

On the edge of the beautiful Peak District, with limited numbers but with a guaranteed prize fund of £1600+.

With under four weeks to go we are pleased to announce that the following have been of great help to us :

We are sponsored by ChessPick, the simplest way to find and book online lessons with titled chess coaches.

We have received support from local businesses MDS Book Sales, M.Davidson Shipping and Mettrick's Butchers.

We also appreciate the contribution of HPBC Councillor Adie Hopkinson for support from his Councillor Initiative Fund.

There's still time to enter, either in the Major (U1700) or the Open (and join Keith Arkell....)
