Never been myself but have a couple of neighbours - one of each 'colour' - who are from Southern Africa (at least one of whom has lived in Zimbabwe) but prefer to live here now.
You might want to know about the water situation there. Note use of 'trickle' meters (also used in S. Africa).

Just like some parts of the UK at night

I want to visit buy in Milton park in Harare from what i have been told this is a rather nice area with very little crime. Most houses for sale come with a borehole for water.

I sent this thread to a friend, who was originally from Zimbabwe, and he said,

"Ha!

Good luck to him!

The houses and size of properties are good but why oh why...of all the places in the world...?!"

Milton Park is a very nice part of Zimbabwe the houses are very nice one can buy a 4 bedroom house with very large garden walled gated with bore hole for £160.000 also plenty of shops nearby and the weather will suit us but of course i will visit to see for my self.
I believe China invest in Zimbabwe in a big way and many of them live in the Milton park area :D

Right soon be time for lunch.
