Cut and Paste v How?

Post by Ian Wallis » Wed May 08, 2013 1:47 am

As a newbie to this site I am wondering how to show previous quotes in boxes like most of you do?! :oops:

I have tried the old fashioned but ever reliable cut and paste method which show's the quotation, however I haven't yet found out how two enclose it 'in the box'

Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

Click "quote" at the bottom right of your previous post and the above will appear in a new post. You can also see how to manually create quotes should you so wish using the "
" tags.

hit the "quote" button on the original message.

Or just check the syntax on existing quoted messages.

With { } replacing [ ] for illustration, it looks like
{quote="Ian Wallis"} comments {/quote}

The next great thing to learn is how to post chess positions and games. After that there is variations in a game and then annotation in a game. I finally cracked it by quoting someone who had done all the above and then looking at it whilst editing.
Have fun! :)
