THE 2ND UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND GIRLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Post by John Upham » Tue Jun 18, 2013 12:12 pm

I received an invitation to send the girls from my schools to this event on the 22nd of June.

I'm not that familiar with this event: I assume it is a new one and entirely independent of ECF organisation?

Can anyone provide enlightenment?

It ran for the first time last year, a new Mike Basman style event with Megafinal qualifying scoring (0, 1, 3 points).

I took my daughter there last year - it was good! Lot of girls and they seemed to be enjoying it.
