Maybe not but that one is over now.Carl Hibbard wrote:Bxh6 was a bit obvious, was squeezing black back a little with d5 first even stronger?

Over in what sense? They are still playing and have reached a fascinating endgame where Eggleston has four pawns for a piece but with tripled f-pawns.

Yes. I spent so long typing out my post above I missed the finish. I liked h4 - realising the knight gets trapped if it goes after the kingside pawns is nice. I presume if the knight had gone after the queenside pawns that one of White's five kingside pawns would have queened?

Re: Brambles Chess is Live!
Deggles showed us the other line where if black plays Nd3 instead, then white just rolls his pawns up the board - h5 Nxb2, g6 Nd3, h5 Ne5 then f4! wins (Irish Pawn Centre - Tony Miles)

Yes I was wrong but with just a glance it looked over after Bxh6 seeing what was coming with Qxh6, Ng5 then Nf5/h5 but yes again it shows I am rubbish.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:Over in what sense? Interesting game. Eggleston is the exchange up, but I'm not sure who is winning ( move 30)
