I have been told that Bolton will have a FIDE rated Open and that it is hoped that half a dozen juniors and a couple of adults from Pontevedra (Galicia, NW Spain) will be playing as part of a proposed visit to 3Cs

The top section of the Easter West of England Championships in Exmouth will also be FIDE rated for the first time. There's no formal announcement yet of a Southend Congress, which has been FIDE rated for many years.Mick Norris wrote:I have been told that Bolton will have a FIDE rated Open
There's a FIDE Open for non Welsh players alongside the Welsh Championships in Cardiff. It doubles up as the event for Welsh players not qualifying for their Championships.
