Does anyone have Len Reitstein's 'A history of South African Chess? I'm having difficulty finding more info about Bedford born Major Harry Taylor Duhan, who arrived in South Africa towards the end of the boer war and then went on to become champion of South Africa claims the following article. http://mysite.mweb.co.za/residents/keithru/duhan.html
If anyone has any content or info on Duhan at all, I'd be grateful to hear from them.

In addition, if anyone knows of any British chess player who didn't return from the Boer war for one reason or another, I'd be interested to learn about them too.

Major Harry Duhan edited the chess column of the Natal Advertiser from 1907 to 1910, the year that he won the SA Championship.MJMcCready wrote:Does anyone have Len Reitstein's 'A history of South African Chess? Duhan was transferred to Pretoria in 1910. Two photographs of Major Duhan in Reitsteins SA history.
