I can't believe Adams castled, I never would have guessed that. Is he now getting his king's rook back onto the kingside via b6?

Well, White resigned, so maybe there is another line. Not sure what happened there.William Metcalfe wrote:Opps never notices White was a piece up lol
EDIT: Strange. Sreeves-Hawkins was showing 0-1, but now a game in progress has appeared.

I'd resign that position. White is getting massacred.Jon D'Souza-Eva wrote:A bit premature though, wouldn't you say?Jonathan Bryant wrote:The towel's come in now. Hey ho. Hardly unexpected.
EDIT: Atako-Adams is the game here.

You're probably right. The more I look at it the easier Black's win seems.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:I'd resign that position. White is getting massacred. EDIT: Atako-Adams is the game here.

Didn't Gormally just blunder a pawn in the opening. Then offered the draw on the basis of 300 elo difference. Slightly surprised that Richard Britton, a player of vast experience and probably a bit undergraded, accepted.

What's the assessment in Short-Conquest? White looks a safe pawn up and winning.
EDIT: Nelson-Hebden looks interesting (after 47.h5).

Draw offered by Britton I think, he played the last move. I imagine part of him was hoping Gormally would decline, difficult to believe white has enough.John Moore wrote:Didn't Gormally just blunder a pawn in the opening. I don't believe Simon Ansell played 34 bd4

Re: BRITISH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS - THE GAMES
Thanks for that, Jack. Suppose I should have realised that seeing as the last move was Black's. Still, it was just a blunder in the opening.
