Post by Adam Raoof » Fri Apr 12, 2013 5:17 pm

20-21 April 2013 is our next event

Hampstead International Chess Congresses

http://www.hampsteadchess.blogspot.co.uk/

In aid of Henderson Court, an Age UK Camden resource centre. Part of the English Chess Federation Grand Prix.

FORMAT
There are five rounds, all games are FIDE rated and graded by the ECF for the national grading database. Because of the time control we are usually limited to players rated (standard rating) Under 2200. Unrated players should be Under 190 ECF, or the national equivalent. Swiss format tournaments, not knockouts.

BYES: if you cannot make a round (some people like to get an early night on Saturday) you can ask for one half-point bye in advance by informing the arbiter. Not available in the final round!

TIME CONTROL
All moves in 90 minutes per player (3.0 hour session).

Latest results on our web page, 56 players this weekend despite competition from Kings Head Rapidplay! I think that's about the maximum number of players we can fit in and still have some place left for people to eat lunch. Thanks, as usual, to Geoff Gammon for arbiting and Norman and yElena for the food.

Next event is on 18/19 May - get your seats early!
