Hi Gordon
2 minutes of my research suggests this programme is highly missable , according to the bbc2 programme credits the following are partaking...

Credits
PresenterVictoria Coren Mitchell
Series ProducerJenny Hawker
DirectorSiân G Lloyd
WriterAdam Bostock-Smith
Production CompanyRDF Television
Production CompanyParasol Media
ParticipantStephen Pearson
ParticipantHenry Pertinez
ParticipantNick Mills
ParticipantTom Fassnidge
ParticipantGail La Cardonara
ParticipantVirginia Fassnidge

a quick check of the ECF grading database and guess what...none of the above mentioned have chess grades...

chessmen...my backside......probably a few mates of mates getting a free tv appearance....I am not disputing that they cannot play chess...they probably know how the pieces move ...but you know the English media...if you can move the pieces you are a Grandmaster lol

now if they were real chessplayers...players I have come across in the chess circuit... I might watch it but I think I'll be having my bath around that time instead :)

Always essential viewing (well, recording first in my case as it clashes with picking my duaghter up from Brownies), just don't post anything about it until I get chance to watch it :!:

Yea - and they're quite open its just a team name. None claim any expertise.
But the programme is always worth watching.

The key term is "enthusiasts". It doesn't usually indicate that they actually play the game!
