Caruana is standing his ground but still shuffling that W sq. bishop..

Edit - Fabio's got to move fast if he's to complete the required number of overs before tea...

Oh just one amusing note. If Aronian manages to win today:

THE GOOD NEWS - he'd be in with a shout of winning
THE BAD NEWS - he'd have to win with the Black pieces in the last round
THE GOOD NEWS - his opponent would be out of contention
THE BAD NEWS - it's Nakamura

A well deserved early bath for Caruana’s bish which - by my not necessarily accurate count - made 11 of his 28 moves so far.

Nakamura won, not that anybody cares. Svidler was notably better against Caruana but handed back the advantage just before the time control.

Meanwhile the official site swingometer has Giri much better (which he isn't) and Caruana-Svidler equal (which it isn't).

EDIT: but now (after move 42) Giri is better.
