ECF Resource and Yearbooks

I recently came across the last two ECF Yearbooks online (I think this is how it is published now):

I got from there to here:

This website takes the first and last thirds of the yearbook and brings them together in one resource, which should make the information contained available to more people than ever before, and increase the accuracy of the information, as corrections and additions need only happen once – here – and can be accomplished at any time of the year, rather than just the beginning.

Apologies if this was raised earlier, but asking what people think of that site?

(Having annual snapshots makes it possible to track changes over time - is this being done with the new site?)

They aren't published in book form any more?

There's a lot that used to be in the Yearbook that really isn't best suited to being part of an annually-published book. The lists of contact details are not a good fit, because you want those to be displayed somewhere where they can be continually updated as jobs change hands and people move house. And the lists of holders of posts and titles over the years also don't work terribly well with the format; again, they're better off on a website where you can just add the new information to the bottom of the list as you need it.

Sure, no argument with that. However, it is important to ensure that the changes still get published in print form, as part of a historical record. If you have a website that changes and is eventually replaced at some future point, it is easy to lose that record.
