What is the Hamilton Russell League, currently being feted by Keene in 'The Times'.

Can anybody tell me when and where the final of the EASTMAN CUP will be?

Thank you

It's the League for London Clubs, mostly Pall Mall based. For instance RAC, Oxford & Cambridge and Athenaeum (not to be confused with Athenaeum Chess Club).

Why are you shouting the name?

Anyway, I'm afraid I can't help you. However, if you're interested in the Eastman Cup Plate, the Final was played on Thursday 23rd April and Mushrooms defeated Hackney 5.5-4.5

Many years ago I took my partner (as she would later become) to watch me play a match at Athenaeum. I remember being surprised that she had wanted to come. It turned out that she had made the mistake that David warns about!

Of course it was all my fault :?

The Eastman Cup final was played on 19 April and Cavendish beat the previous year's winners Richmond 5.5-4.5.

It's a London League competition and the controller is Brian Smith (contact details in the ECF Yearbook).
