Re: Junior Selections
David,
Many thanks for this
World Youth
U18 Boys, Robert Lydiard, Jasper Tambini; U18 Girls Sheila Dines; U16 Boys Yang Fan Zhou; U16 Girls Astghik Stepanyan; U14 Boys Felix Ynojosa; U12 Boys Tarun Malhotra, Ravi Haria
Euro Youth
U18 Boys James Adair, U18 Girls Jessica Thiliganathan, U16 Boys Victor Jones, U16 Girls Evie Hollingworth, U14 Boys Eugene Daley, U12 Boys Conor Murphy
I wonder if this is the final list, because at the moment we have 4 coaches at the World Youths for 8 players and 3 coaches at the Euro Youths for 6 players. If you discount the U8 section then we are represented in 6 out of the 10 sections at both events.
Many thanks for this

Re: Junior Selections
Our local newspaper is reporting that William Claridge-Hansen is playing this summer.

Following on from the report of the local Mega-final that's 2 chess stories in less than a week. Well done to all concerned.

Don't quote me on this but I think Maria & Anna Wang are going to the World. From memory Maria won a strong girls u14 qualifier. I'm quite sure we'd have representation at both under 14 girls events as we have several strong players in that age group.Matthew Turner wrote:David,

Re: Junior Selections
I think the website listiing is just those from the junior squad - it will not show those not in the squad (I think Maria and Anna for example are not in the National Junior Squad) and not William yet as I don't think this years junior squad trial has happened and I think in past years he will have been too young.
