Not that I know of. She last played for England in the 2015 European Team, her last rated tournament was playing in my team in the 2016 European Club Cup for women in 2016 where she performed well. Her last rated games were in 4NCL in early 2017.

Perhaps it was just limited to England junior coaching for tournaments and the ECF Academy?

I wouldn't know as my involvement with the ECF in any official capacity ended in October 2014. Maybe ask the ECF official who made the original claim?

I wouldn’t want to bother her. Although I suspect she had many an eye-watering tale of ECF misogyny if she ever chose to tell them. She left of course.

Good book to read this is by Hurst on Polgar sisters.

I know a lot of people stop playing just playing because there's not enough incentive to do it.

And as well like....

Just thinking back to when I was younger...

When you're a kid and 13... especially back 90s... there's not always a lot to do. Not really chess even on internet.

If you're a smart kid now at 13... you can potentially be making big money in many ways...

Never mind "higher" - I've spoken to a few strong woman players over the years and the general thrust of their remarks has been that a considerable proportion of male players were entirely devoid of social intelligence. Some (not all, of course) of the comments on this thread would seem to corroborate this.

I have to admit that I've seen a lot of chessplayers with poor social intelligence. I had poor social intelligence before 2004 I would say.

I think some chessplayers have slightly higher SI now yet it is often not that great.
