Re: Knight's Tour Puzzle
Not too difficult. Just solved it over lunch - 20 minutes tops.
I once came across a very interesting puzzle based on the knight's tour. You were given eight lines, each of eight words - nothing else. (You weren't even told the number of lines or words.) Having twigged to the 8x8 pattern, you then had to find some sort of order for the words. A knight's tour would have been among the first ideas to occur to a chess player, but might have been harder for others to find. Anyway, having finally got the words into a sensible order, you had to solve the mathematical puzzle which they spelt out - and the answer to that was the solution to the whole thing. Quite tricky. I can't remember now whether the tour was one of those re-entrant ones (where the start square is a knight's move away from the end one). That could have added another level of difficulty.

(He doesn't let you resign and start again, either.)
