I am sorry to inform you that Brian Clarke passed away on 10th December 2024.
Brian was born in 1945 and had been a member of Wallasey Chess Club for the past eight years.
He joined Wallasey from Hoylake Chess Club as he wanted to play more competitive chess.
However, a deterioration in health meant that over the last few years, he attended the club less frequently.
Even so, he continued to support the club, his loyalty and interest in the club remained exemplary.
Brian was well thought of and will be missed.
