Matthew Wadsworth is having a great tournament so far and is on 6/7 (5 wins and 2 draws). He should play the only other player on 6/7, the top seed Tabatabaei, in round 8. They are both due a black, but since Tabatabaei is the higher seed he should get it.

Tabatabaei is currently on 6/6 and still playing but what you say regarding the round 8 pairing should still be true as he is far more likely to win or draw than to lose.

Bah, you were too quick for me Lawrence! I realised that Tabatabaei was still playing and edited my post. However I don't think anyone else can reach six points so Matthew should still play Tabatabaei in the next round.

After a hard fought draw with Tabatabaei in round 8, I was hoping Matthew would be paired against Ivanchuk in the last round. Unfortunately he got Zhou Jianchao instead. This is the player who recently broke Bogdan Lalic’s record non-losing streak:
