Good spot. Thanks for the link.
Judging by his house this chess teaching over the internet is obviously quite lucrative!

Which puts him in the interesting position of being phenomenally good by almost any standard (315 out of, what? 7 billion?, is not too shabby is it?) and yet at the same time rather average. He is that true oxymoron an ordinary grandmaster. Albeit an ordinary grandmaster with a nice houseEoin Devane wrote:#315 out of all active players.Matt Mackenzie wrote:"One of the best players in the world"?

It looks like she's an estate agent (http://poweredby.century21.com/realesta ... Y-10897913), so quite possibly!Ian Thompson wrote:But does his wife work and bring in most of the family income?Jonathan Bryant wrote: Albeit an ordinary grandmaster with a nice house

Not these days. One US realtor my wife knows first tried to put himself on fire. When that didn't work, he shot himself. The real estate market is the weakest it's been since records started to be kept. I don't know what US realtors are living on -- tinned dog food?Eoin Devane wrote:It looks like she's an estate agent (http://poweredby.century21.com/realesta ... In some parts of the US (i.e., once you get out of New York City) even an IM is looked on as a demigod, a creature of fable.Jonathan Bryant wrote:Which puts him in the interesting position of being phenomenally good by almost any standard (315 out of, what? 7 billion?, is not too shabby is it?) and yet at the same time rather average.
