Re: BRITISH CHESS CHAMPIONSHIPS - THE GAMES
The top six boards have all disappeared, albeit board 5 had already ended in a draw. 7-14 still working though.

site having problems again, no commentary, this is 2011 not 1991, if it does not improve tomorrow it's a waste of time watching

We seem to have lost boards 7-14 as well but results are being updated here: http://www.britishchess2011.com/events_ ... p_2011.htm

Perhaps you should drive up to Sheffield and fix it as you seem to believe it's so easy?NeilJerzynek wrote:this says a lot for 2seeitlive.com, or is it the people who set up the equipment wh don't know what they are doing?

thats not my point, it's the showcase event of the year, and they have been using this system to be running events online for years, why should I do it? it's not my job but if you get told that it's live and you go online to watch and it breaks down then you don't bother the next day

Then don't bother, if that reflects your level of interest. Perhaps you ought to give a little thought to the people that donate their time and energy (free of charge in some cases, I believe) before making critical remarks?NeilJerzynek wrote:thats not my point, it's the showcase event of the year, and they have been using this system to be running events online for years, why should I do it? it's not my job but if you get told that it's live and you go online to watch and it breaks down then you don't bother the next day

It's pretty clear it is a load issue on 2seeitlive although I do feel guilty as I have stepped back from all ECF work IT wise and am not involved this year
Sorry

Stand out results so far appear to be Susan Lalic beating Simon Williams, James Adair beating Richard Palliser and Peter Lalic also won against a higher rated player. James Holland drew with Simon Ansell whilst John Boyd held Aaron Summerscale with black.

In addition to Susan and Peter, Graeme Buckley also won... not a bad start for the family!LozCooper wrote:Stand out results so far appear to be Susan Lalic beating Simon Williams, James Adair beating Richard Palliser and Peter Lalic also won against a higher rated player.
