Wonder what Williams intends. I can't see anything active for the Rook down the c -file. Well, he's put it on c2 and Adams has taken on a6.

So ...Be4 prevents Rd2 consolidating due to ...Rc1+ and after a check on h1 Black will have counterplay. But Adams can just drop the Bishop back to b7 and Black doesn't look to have any good way to continue?

36. ... Nf5 was very clever in Hebden vs Summerscale. I think the idea is that Black wins the knight on f8 if 37. Nxf5.

Did Jack really say that Summerscale was the equal of Keres. I haven't seen the exact exchange but I recall that I only cast doubt on the ability of Vera Menchik and most of the Forum cast doubt on me!
