I see no plan for White still. There probably never has been any viable winning attempt for either side on board one.

Funny that this line has so often proved troublesome for Adams (though I may easily be wrong about that) - I still would like to know whether Zhou prepared it specially for Adams (I had the idea that one would normally see 2...d6 from Zhou).

But I now think it unlikely that either Jones or Hawkins will win (though after Hawkins' win yesterday ...)

Gordon-Short might be drawn soon, though. Surely White has frittered away too much time to make a serious winning attempt now.

Gordon's winning plan is ...? Amusingly, though, I don't think that there has been a three fold repetition and if Adams draws, will Nigel have a go at the losing try c6 (with the N on e8 and a rook on b8). Bear in mind that I have only just got here.
