There is also a pub called "Forum" which stays open later

Good luck to both Mickey and Nigel for the playoff later on.

10...d5 wasn't Danny's 'improvement' on Breder-Bates. It was my 'improvement' played in Gormally-Bates, round 8 though!

I stand corrected :)

Recording at 645am is not really my cup of tea.

No worries - it's difficult to keep track of such hot theoretical debate :D Apparently the game/move was also unfortunately omitted from Tom's pre-game preparation! :o

Around 7,500 unique visitors watched the live games yesterday so as always a hat tip to Dave Clayton who never really gets the credit he deserves!

So is there a time for the play-off to start, or does it just depend on how long the prizegiving starts? (If so, can anybody make a reasonable estimate?)
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

The website says after prize giving, which should take about 40 minutes. So 10:00 to 10:30 seems a reasonable estimate.

Hmm. I have to be out then, but hopefully back for the second game, or some of it anyway.

If Dave puts the files in the right year folder that might help!
