DGT Clock fault
A DGT 2500 clock I use for the Youth Chess Club has developed a fault. On any setting, once started, it only counts down on one side and not the other.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

Re: DGT Clock fault
Sounds like one of the switches on the lever could be broken - switches are often the first thing to wear out in electronics
Any opinions expressed will not be held to account.

I think these clocks have been on sale for less than 2 years and Chess & Bridge state that they come with a 2 years warranty, so I think you could make a warranty claim.Andrew Zigmond wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 11:03 amA DGT 2500 clock I use for the Youth Chess Club has developed a fault. The reed switch has failed.
I have replaced these on other DGT models and its fairly straight forward.
Let me know if you want it fixed.

Re: DGT Clock fault
I have checked my DGT spares archive and I can replace the reed switch in your faulty timer.

Apologies for the delay in replying due to Christmas getting in the way. Thank you for your kind offer and I would very much like to take you up on it (and happy to meet any costs involved).John Upham wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 11:51 amI have checked my DGT spares archive and I can replace the reed switch in your faulty timer.

Out of interest, will either the retailer or DGT repair the unit under warranty? The serial number on the bottom of the case will define the date of manufacture.
