There have certainly been discussions regarding the match and that game in particular. I suspect we may be waiting for the outcome of the appeal and FIDE's subsequent action to see if anything further on our part is required. As both the ECF FIDE delegate and the International Director were involved in the match it's fair to say we have very strong feelings on the matter.

It seems that Sebastien Feller and his lawyers have counterattacked. They are accusing the French Chess federations of accounting irregularities.

It appears that most of Feller's accusations are false, so it is likely to be a diversion move, which in my opinion tends to show that the cheating accusations are right. Moreover, it is not very correct from him to use such ways of defense.

The debate, if there is one, seems to involve the finer points of the French approach to revenue and expense recognition when applied to a sports body with both membership and sponsorship income.

Perhaps if he is banned, Feller is looking forward to a fresh career as a chartered accountant.
